Welcome to Worplesdon!

We are a friendly, open and welcoming church community, with enjoyable worship and a relaxed atmosphere. We believe that God calls us to be at the heart of the area, serving the needs of the whole parish including the communities of Worplesdon, Wood Street and Fairlands. This means that we try to reflect the love of God in all that we say and do, growing closer to each other as caring friends and closer to our neighbours.

Newcomers are always welcome and we hope that you will find a spiritual home here – all are truly welcome.

The Bishop of Guildford’s Lent Challenge 2020

The theme this year is Keeping Things Simple and will be launched via Grapevine, the monthly digital newsletter. There’s still time to sign up to receive Grapevine, if you haven’t already.

These are the different resources that will be available A printable introductory leaflet with information on weekly themes and how to donate

  • Daily email reflections
  • A social media campaign with daily posts, including some video – please follow the hashtag #LentGuildford

Taking part is free but they would love to raise significant funds from the Lent Challenge 2020 to support two great causes; The Bishop of Guildford’s Communities Fund and Youth Leader Conferences of The Episcopal Church of South Sudan. Donations will help transform the lives of some of the most vulnerable in our diocese through the ministry of our churches and raise up youth leaders in South Sudan to impact their local leader and youth.
