Pain Support Group

This group is for those who have to live with physical or mental pain and their supporters.

Our massage therapists and listeners will be on hand, and tea and coffee available throughout the evening.  As always, you are welcome to come to whichever meetings you would like, and to stay for as long or short a time as you wish.

A simple Christian Service of prayer follows the main meeting at 9.15 pm for those who wish to stay.

New members are always very welcome - do get in touch beforehand if you want to know more, or need directions etc.

We hope our July meeting will have a bit of a party feel about it, with strawberries and cream to set the mood.  There will be time to chat and relax as well as feedback from the Café Conversation evening.

There will be a chance to finish off art work from our last session and a time of relaxation, to send everyone home feeling chilled.

On a sadder note, it will be Bryony's last session as coordinator, as we have not been able to secure further funding for this post.  Suzette Jones, in her role as Open to All will be taking on the role of coordinator, with help from the planning group.  If any group members feel they would like to get involved in running the group, please speak to Suzette or Lorraine, as it would be great to have one or two more people involved in the group's planning and development.

Finally - we have two people living in Rydes Ave, Guildford (Aldershot Rd area) who would like to attend the group but have no transport.  Does anyone come that way that would be able to give them a lift?  Please let Bryony know.  THANKS

Welcome to Worplesdon Parish

Welcome! Our two churches St Mary’s, Worplesdon and St Alban’s, Wood Street Village are dedicated to serving the communities of Worplesdon, Fairlands and Wood Street Village – we hope our parish is like a "light set on a hill"

Services range from the quiet contemplation of daily morning and evening prayer through to Weekly Parish Communion services at both churches on Sunday or if you fancy exploring something a little bit different try our monthly iWorship.

Vibrant and energetic, our children are an integral part of parish life who are free to worship in their own way. We love welcoming them with many different activities from toy bags to Sunday clubs as well as our monthly Family service – come and find out!
