About the Worplesdon Fairtrade Stall

We stock coffee, tea, snacks and staple food products from the Tradecraft range plus a few other items from time to time, including extra virgin olive oil from Palestine.  You can see the full range at the Traidcraft Shop website, where you can also order on-line (although if you order products through the Worplesdon Fairtrade Stall you’ll save the cost of postage).  If you want to place an order for collection locally, send an e-mail to julielynch@ntlworld.com

 We are a Fairtrade Church

We have committed to:

  • Use Fairtrade tea and coffee for all meetings for which we have responsibility
  • Move forward on using other Fairtrade products (such as sugar, biscuits and fruit)
  • Promote fair trade during Fairtrade Fortnight and through other activities where possible

What is Fairtrade?

Fairtrade is a trading partnership, based on dialogue, transparency and respect, which seeks greater equity in international trade.  It contributes to sustainable development by offering better trading conditions to, and securing the rights of, marginalized producers and workers – especially in the South.  The Fairtrade Mark is an independent consumer label that appears on products as an independent guarantee that disadvantaged producers in the developing world are getting a better deal.  We sell Traidcraft products on our stall.  Traidcraft plc has been fighting poverty through trade since 1979.  Look out for the Fairtrade logo when you shop.

Where else to buy Fairtrade products

In Guildford, the Co-op and the Oxfam shop each stock a good range.  Also, Emmanuel Church in Stoughton currently has a full-time Fairtrade stall, and you can buy Fairtrade produce from the major supermarkets.  Look out for the Fairtrade mark!
