Admission of Children to Communion before Confirmation

Added on Wednesday, November 2, 2011

The Admission of Children to Communion before Confirmation – following a well attended and helpful open meeting on Tuesday, the PCC voted in favour of allowing children to be admitted to Holy Communion before Confirmation. This has a number of important caveats, namely the children must have been baptised, must be at least 7 years old and have received an appropriate course of instruction and preparation. Further this can only happen with the parents full approval. Work will continue to find the right preparation course. For further information or discussion please speak to a member of the Clergy.
