Opportunity to help organise the St Mary's Summer Fair

A meeting at 8.00pm on Tuesday 23rd February outlined the opportunity for more people to join the organising committee for our fantastic Summer Fair but it's not to late to volunteer - Speak to Jenny Shaw.

As an update to the Church Year Diary, the Tidy Up Day is at St Mary's on 6th Feb from 10 till 1.00. All are welcome. Coffee and Flapjacks and a great big bofire included!

Call for help for Haiti

With an already poor state being hit by the worst earthquake for 200 years, you are invited to help the Disasters Emergency Committee supply water, food, shelter and medicines: A retiring collection will be made at our churches on Sunday 17th January. Help in the bad weather

The churches and church yard have looked very special over the last couple of days but there is currently so much snow and some ice that conditions are likely to still be hazardous on Sunday 10th January. Anyone who would like a helping hand getting to church - either from their car in the car park or from their homes - is welcome to email Dan on wardens@worplesdonparish.com and we'll see what we can do.

New Lights for St Mary's

After many years of frequently replacing traditional big wattage bulbs, St Mary's is to have an electrical overhaul! Plans are available in the church but work is due to start in late January.

The tree is up and the scaffold is DOWN!

Freshly felled in Tangley Garden Centre by courtesy of John and Ann Brand, the St Mary's Christmas Tree has been delivered and is now (after the normal heaving, huffing and puffing) in place. Come and see the tree and admire the lovely new stonework and tiles.

"Chris Sturdee and Dan Shaw as representatives of the Parish of Worplesdon are delighted to announce that the Representative of the Friends and Provost of Eton College has offered the living of the Parish of Worplesdon to the Rev Hugh Grear who has now formally accepted.

Welcome to Worplesdon Parish

Welcome! Our two churches St Mary’s, Worplesdon and St Alban’s, Wood Street Village are dedicated to serving the communities of Worplesdon, Fairlands and Wood Street Village – we hope our parish is like a "light set on a hill"

Services range from the quiet contemplation of daily morning and evening prayer through to Weekly Parish Communion services at both churches on Sunday or if you fancy exploring something a little bit different try our monthly iWorship.

Vibrant and energetic, our children are an integral part of parish life who are free to worship in their own way. We love welcoming them with many different activities from toy bags to Sunday clubs as well as our monthly Family service – come and find out!
